The purpose of my poems is to educate and motivate others to take action. When I write I am nothing more than a vessel. when I write, I am not negatively female, black, or any other physical identification. Mya Victoria-Quast (10th) -I mainly do drawings, some digital. Occasionally write stories and of course band. Robert Furillo (Staff) - As a teacher, I like to begin the school year with something motivating, something that captures the essence of the many opportunities that we do enjoy in this great country. This year, I decided to draw the Statue of Liberty for our Spanish classroom. (Dry Erase markers on white board) I always like the idea of how to draw things, but I could never fit an Art class into my schedule during my high school years. So, during my twenties, I learned how to draw by following a method book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards, and eventually, after a lot of practice, I began to see the world as an artist does. I highly recommend this book (which is still in print) for anyone who can't fit an Art class into his schedule, but would like to learn how to draw. Noah Syrkin (12th) - I am a artist, I have worked with many different mediums but, my strong suits are painting and drawing. I prefer to work in the styles of abstract and realistic. Nathan James Bauer (10th) - I'm Nathan and I like to take pictures and write (this bio might be a scatter-brained however). I plan to go into film when I'm older and I'd like to photograph films (cinematography) and write screenplays. I've also entertained the idea of becoming a director but above all else, writing and cinematography are the goal. I've used my hobbies in writing and photography and my love for the art of film to create little short films that are either for me to show friends and family, or to use for school projects. Hunter A Meyer (9th) - I like to do art, I've always wanted to do art ever since I was in the fourth grade.
